Chinese New Year Celebration

Despite the fact that the actual Chinese New Year - the year of the ape - officially commenced last monday, the celebrations and parade in Chinatown The Hague were today.

Many people had turned up to watch the ceremony resulting in many Police officers preventing people to come too close in their opinion.

Basically were we were standing you couldn't see anything due to many bigger persons - often with children on their sholders - blocking the view on any part of the action, but hey...

I managed to sweet talk myself passed two Police blocks and got close enlough after all.

Sometimes the bigger Nikon looks more professional to them than the great little Sony mirrorless ;-)))

Enjoy the Dragon, but don't get closer... It might eat you!
