End of an era

Here is Mr PB digging up some fruit bushes on the allotment. We have made a very hard decision to give it up. Mr PB cycles every week, me some, and when not I am mostly sewing, so it has become a bit of a chore.  We have decided to bring some of the fruit bushes, rhubarb, and artichokes home. I will plant them in the borders of the front and back garden.

We have had the allotment for about 12 years or so. I got it in the October half term and our first day there was a bitterly cold Friday, I had just come home from my Dads funeral in Scotland. I have to say Mr PB has done most of the work and we have acquired a shed, compost bins and a pond. But its the right time to let someone else have ago. Maybe one day we will get another one. We both feel a bit sad about giving it up.
