Gōngxǐ fācái

We had a lantern festival to celebrate the Chinese New Year yesterday (I am back blipping).  Why you have a lantern walk in the daylight is beyond me but perhaps if they waited until it got dark it would be too late for the kids.  Anyhoo, here you have some Lion dancers.  They really were fabulous and I love how they give the lion facial expressions.

There were also fireworks, dragon boat races, music, marching bands, tug boat ballet and other demonstrations not to mention a huge turn out.  You would have thought it was Sydney.
