A Striking Sight Amongst the Stingers
Loads more butterflies today, but the two stand outs for me were the Large Skipper and the Small Tortoiseshell.
The latter is slightly more photogenic so I decided to blip that; being as shallow as I am.
It's a classic butterfly that most recognise, the Small Tortoiseshell, which can be found by the nettle patches where it lays its eggs.
I love the almost tiger-like wing bars and the great contrasting patterns it has.
