In The Occupied Territory

Splish Splash

After trying out the Fisherie Country Store for lunch, a very nice Mac Cheese and chips, we ventured down to Gardenstone, or Gamrie as it is locally named.
This lovely and working little fishing village, nestles at the foot of the steep, cliffs, accessible by an obviously, equally steep and winding road.
It is, or at least it used to be, an extremely religious place where incomers found it very hard to be accepted. Especially if they didn't attend one of the many churches therein.
The picture is the waves splashing over the sea wall, with the neighbouring coastal village of Crovie in the back ground.
There are several extras of the sea and bits of the village itself.
