Doug

After 8 pm , no blip!!  I asked Doug if he had any ideas for derelict Sunday - his reply was "me, I'm looking and certainly feeling derelict".....so here he is. I'll tag it DS17 but I know he really is far from derelict!!

We are off to Wellington tomorrow for 10 days, and I've been trying to cram much into my day.  Doug (poor boy) is next to useless but again tonight is improving slowly.  Off the pain killers which is a bonus.

Some of the day has been getting images ready for the national competition of the Photography Society of NZ which closes on the 28th Feb.  They are judged then shown at the annual Photographic Convention being held in Queenstown in April.  This year I've entered some prints as well as digital.  Needed to get this organised as won't be enough time when we return on the 25th Feb.

Watered the garden and got most of the edges cut, but crucially I've yet to start the packing.   On Thursday we and our Wellington family are going to the Edinburgh Tattoo, we really are looking forward to it.  Its a very poplar event and has toured here before.
Then, we are getting in Janelle's car and driving who knows where for a few days.  That will be really good, as we have been really busy physically and mentally recently.

Hoping for a good sleep tonight - last night we both gave up trying to sleep at 1.30am and saw us watching some rubbish on TV while sipping on a green tea.

Christchurch had a 5.9 earthquake this afternoon - was a good shake down here too.  Damage and liquefaction again, but thankfully no loss of life........a week short of the five year anniversary of the big one.  I wonder how this one feared??

Next blip - Wellington!!
