Scattered Polaroids

Today was Winchester's turn for the olympic torch. We headed down at about 1.30 and picked a fairly unbusy spot outside the tapas place on the road to the Alfred statue.

There was a massive build up, some policemen milking the crowd, some bored looking people on a bus, then it was over in seconds. We watched him run past, then ducked down the back streets to come out next to Jessops. The high street was packed, and we emerged just in time to see the flame go past the tops of peoples heads. "Ah well", said the old lady next to me, "time for a cup of tea then".

There were other photos I preferred from today, like these two, but this is what we actually went to see, so I figured it was worthy of a blip.
