The Clouds had been Gathering

4.7C bright with long sunny spells. Threat of snow/sleet showers. Light to moderate Northerly breeze.

Grocery shopping this morning at Sainsburys and in M&S at City Quay/Gallagher Retail Park in Dundee then we went to Asda to exchange our kettle which stopped working suddenly yesterday evening. This is the second kettle of this model that has failed within the guarantee period. Although they are still on sale we opted for another maker and model this time. New kettle chosen, we let Maeve the Deerhound out of the car so she could have a comfort break. Maeve back in the car, we went along to the big retail park off the Kingsway for a look around a couple of shops.

Before a slightly late lunch Apothecary7 and I took Maeve for a walk. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. No sign of any police vehicles today (see Friday). We turned right at the farm and went down the track to the shore road. The track was frozen so the walking was easy. We walked along the cycle path towards Westhaven then turned right and came up the bridle path to get back up to the church from where we walked the short distance home. The clouds had been gathering for what looked like a snow shower, but the Northerly took them out to sea.

After lunch six nations rugby with Italy v England, with England running out easy winners in the second half. One or two sleety showers later in the afternoon.
