To lessen the guilt after a large cooked breakfast we set off up towards Kirkstone Pass on the track that runs parallel to the road. 

All was going well until I slipped and went bum first into the mud ............ the ground had been firm until then. The camera got muddy too and for a while refused to work.

It's unusual for me to blip more than one landscape a week but with views and light like this it was difficult not to post another. This is the view to Wetherlam and Coniston Old Man. In extras, looking the other way is Kirkstone Pass.

Next time I might make it to the top and have a pint at the Kirkstone Pass Inn.
