Beautiful boy ..

I saw Jack and Auntie out in the garden this morning and decided to risk joining them - Jack has got very, very wary since his face became so badly infected.

Out I went - and once I'd settled down he decided he was brave enough to come out onto the lawn for a few sausages.

I've included a picture of his face when I first saw the damage last September (possibly from a tooth abscess, but we aren't sure), and a photo of it today. As you can see there's still a large notch in his lip, but it looks uninfected and nice and pale pink.

I saw my friendly heron again today too.
