.....a weekend of firsts............

This weekend has not been good, it's had its good bits...........but it's also had some emotional bits.

Yesterday would have been Dad's birthday...........so the first time in about 50 years that I didn't need to buy him a card..........he passed away just before his birthday last year......but I'd already got the card.

Valentines day today....the first time in 40 years that I didn't buy a card/flowers/chocolates/alcohol/jewellery............

Tomorrow Helen's car goes back to the dealers............it's on one of those 3 year contracts so some time tomorrow a low loader will appear and whisk it away.

Tuesday is my birthday........apart from 2009 when I was in Siberia, the first without Helen for 40 years.

Hopefully Wednesday will see me back to normal.

Good spots this weekend have been............getting the cats yesterday.......a visit from Therese today............and Charlotte and Hannah arriving this afternoon wearing cat hats and leopard print in attempt to make the Bengals come out to play.
