Hospital

Today has been a bit of a trauma. My son who has been a bit off colour with a virus was rushed to hospital this morning after having a grand mal seizure which I witnessed which was quite scary to see. This is the fourth one he has had. He is currently seeing a neurologist.

The doctor at Stepping Hill Hospital has diagnosed him as having epilepsy due to fact that this has happened before and has prescribed medication for it (he wasn't on anything before).

He goes to see the specialist next Tuesday, for the results of the MRI scan and all the electrode tests he had earlier this year.

He never suffered anything like this as a child, the first fit was when he was 19 and he's 24 now.

He is now sleeping peacefully, and I feel a bit of a nervous wreck. Everytime he gets a fever I worry.

The staff at the hospital were brilliant, and inspired me one day to try and train for the role of a HCO.
