The opposite of fast food
We went out for lunch today (it would have been my late father-in-laws 80th birthday)
This is the Crab and Lobster, just off the A168 near Dishforth.
Nice food, but the restaurant was swamped, looks like the chinless wonders of the aristocracy decided to turn up because the Yorkshire show (at "too posh for its own boots" Harrogate) was rained off.
The downside is that the last minute influx of the rich and famous (or rich and arrogant) meant that it took nearly an hour for our starters to arrive.
The manager was apologetic (bit we think he should have refused the last minute booking) and gave us a discount. Still, it lowers my opinion of the upper class significantly.
