Sports Day

Today was the annual Sports Day at our school. Initially I was dubious it would take place... I checked the weather forecast last night and it was not good! But we awoke to bright sunshine, and it shone for the duration of the sports events.

A whole day at school for me, as the infants were this morning and then the juniors this afternoon. Both Amy and James enjoyed themselves helped by the fact that their House, came second for the infants and won the afternoon events for the juniors, so it's looking hopeful that they will get the Sports Cup when the results are announced on Friday.

I loved this shot of Amy, particularly as her best friend is in the background with a concerned look on his face. Not sure if his frown is because he is worried she may hurt herself or he is worried that her House may beat his?!
