Sunshine on the lakes!

Lake Windermere in glorious sunshine - all day long. Just what this area needs after being left so incredibly soggy during the floods of 2015. 

A great day of explorations, enjoying the beautiful views along the A65 before arriving in Bowness. We set sail across the Ambleside, where we enjoyed strolling around the little shops and by the lake, with stunning mountain views. A bracing ferry trip back and now snug in our Travelodge room :-)
