Richard III. Last of The Plantaganets
Better a day late than never .Today we were able to visit Leicester and the Cathedral . Two very good reasons .Mainly to see the tomb of the recently discovered King Richard III and also to enjoy a midday concert in the Cathedral . It was a worthwhile journey . No matter what 'slant/ poetic licence ', Shakespeare used it is fair to say , the discovery and ability to say with 100% certainty the skeleton found beneath a car park was King Richard is amazing . Even more, so to know that a living descendant was traced . What is touching is the fact that this person , a carpenter by trade made the coffin for the very special ceremony held last year .
