One Billion Rising - Norwich Rising 2016

For the fourth year running, Norwich held a 'Rising' event for just one hour as part of the global campaign to call for an end to violence against women and girls.  There was dance, music, poetry and spoken word, including a 9 year old girl who spoke eloquently against violence in all forms and how at her school they are taught to be kind and fair to everyone.

About 200 men, women, boys and girls joined us and here we see Vicky, a BSL sign language interpreter who also performs as 'V-Sign' - she interprets songs using sign language and today she signed 'Fight Song'.  The first time I saw her she signed 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by Queen which was amazing.
