The accidental finding

Sorting out stuff

Boring, yes, but I sorted out boxes and boxes of clarty cobwebbed crap from my mother's bedroom last year. She hadn't died, she just moved on without really moving on.

Anyway, I am 27:years younger than my mother but I must have even more hoarded junk than her, it's just less dirty and a bit more recent. Today I tidied out one drawer. Big deal....

I am trying to follow the advice of the Japanese clearer, Marie Kondo, I think her name is. I haven't actually read her book but one of her principles is that if possessions are no longer sparking joy in you, it's time to say goodbye to them and oass them on. Hey, charity shops and recycling bin, here we come! At least I don't have to hide packs of 1970s notelets among Regency period novels as I did last year.

Oh, and I bought a domain name for my website! See the cards I sell online at www.helenascards.co.uk
