The Dark Tower

Had another day in St Andrews today and was thrilled to discover it is hosting the World Saxophone Congress.

What is the collective noun for saxophonists? A horn? A bell end? And what do they do at their congress? Discuss whether Bob Holness really did play the solo on Baker Street?

Anyway, leaving such thoughts aside, we went to wander round the cathedral, left in ruins by the reformation which gave Scotland so much of its dour protestant character.

The sky was pretty dramatic, and I like to think Neil Oliver may be lurking just out of shot, intoning a characteristically solemn voice over.
