Stuff

This is pretty illustrative of the records and sources that I have to deal with on a sometimes daily basis.
Sometimes I enjoy deciphering the beautiful writing, sometimes I do not. I always enjoy the smell, though not the dust getting in my eye or across my face when I forget that I have grubby hands.
There is a wonderful feeling when you unfurl a cracked page, or open a huge tome, that you are possibly the first person to do this in over 150 years.
I do get document envy sometimes when people are bent over scrolls, or huge beautiful bound books, but then I note the poor condition, the ye olde lingo and count my blessings that the Victorians had type.
