Summer, At Last
As Haggisland is dragged screaming and shouting into reluctant summer, we take a boat ride on the west coast in the venerable old paddle steamer Waverley.
And a jolly good time was had by all. In a word: freezing cold, but dazzingly beautiful.
OK, that was more than a word. but that is Haggis Speak for you. It must be the weather that addles our brains - or it that the whisky we take to fend off the worst effects of our meteological misfortunes? Fortunately, the jury is out.
It's the haggis that gets me.
