Glasgow Cathedral

Tuesday 16th Feb 2016 (1270)

A lovely full Scottish breakfast set me up for the day but the icy gale force wind and rain didn't really encourage us to rush out. Being indoors was the order for the day!

We went into Glasgow and I got lost round the one way system and bus lanes. We finally found the Cathedral and had a good wander round. The weather was worse when we left so we went to Amazonia, a tropical house. We hadn't realised it was also part of a theme park.

We spent some time doing photography in the tropical house but it wasn't very big. We then amused ourselves in the arcade. I did ten-pin bowling but Mum was frustrated that the balls are now too heavy. We then had a game of pool and I discovered Mum had a hidden talent - "well, I did use to play snooker" she said. She was doing much better than me but I just pipped her at the post on the final ball, although she reminded me that she had been kind and potted one of mine for me. I do think she deserved to win!

The rain was really heavy when we left so we retreated back to the hotel for a relaxing evening.
