Atlas Mountains

Just as darkness was closing in we arrived in Skoura at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. The journey from Marrakesh took in beautiful and dramatic scenery, and included a two hour delay waiting for the heavy overnight snow on the windy mountain roads to be cleared. "Hello from the other side" by Adele was appropriately playing on the car radio as we came down from the clouds and, in the nick of time, reached our toilet stop from where this photo was taken.
