First practice walk

As you most of you know, I am our school's Duke of Edinburgh's International Award coordinator. One of the sections of the Award is the Adventurous Journey. After a few training sessions on maps and navigating with them, today it was time for the new participants to do a first (small) practice walk. From our school site the students found their way to the Solhof castle of Aartselaar and back
We were very lucky with the weather, cold but lovely and sunny. All students have practiced their map reading skills, found their way and visited a part of their environment they had not seen before.
