.........the look of..............

A difficult day today...........my 58th birthday............and (apart from my trip to Siberia in 2009) the first one since 1975 not spent with Helen.

The day started with cards and a present from the Daughter....The Chase board game.............then a bacon butty..........a stroke of the cats.......and then the text/fb messages started to arrive......a trip to the Bank to explain why I'm not ready to look into investments etc yet............I'm still waiting for several insurance and pension settlements........but they still tried to push me into savings accounts and ISA's.......Helen's youngest brother called in with a card and beer...........her eldest brother phoned to see how things were...........and then the phone rang............and it was a guy telling me he was on his way to pick up Helen's car.......only a day late!

This evening........well, tea time really.........the family took me out for a meal......local Italian............special menu............3 courses for £11.95.......I had Calimari, Spaghetti Carbonara and Pistachio Gelato.......the Daughter, the S & H and YH had similar...and here's the best bit..........Charlotte and Hannah ate for free...from the same menu!..........so six 3 course dinners, three beers, one cider, two cokes and two apple juices...........all for £73.00!!!!!........and a present of a nano quad copter for me!

This blip is Hannah's ice cream face.......it got even wilder when we went back to their house for coffees and chocolate birthday cake!

Back home I checked my fb timeline and texts.........125 birthday messages! Thank you all so much.
