A Welcome Sign of Spring

Stopping at Lake Padden after several errands today, I relished the sight of many burgeoning buds on the native Red-flowering Currant bushes -- well worth getting mud on my shoes to reach them! 

Another sign of spring is in the extras -- what a good idea it is! I like the way our food bank is thinking "out of the box".

And I can't resist sharing yet another good idea, one I wholeheartedly support!
