Lochend Park
Tree week continues on Cigs.
Like Monday, a decent sunrise to cycle off into, chummed this time, though. In a rare moment of madness (!), I arranged a 9am on the other side of town. Uphill. Into the not inconsiderable wind. Still once I'd done that and the three nearby, it was then downhill with a tail wind. Woo hoo!
Before the 50mph gusts properly took hold, I took a sneaky short cut through Pilrig Park after my cuppa at Baz's house; heading for Easter Road ahead of tonight's much anticipated cup replay. This isn't a spot I check regularly, but - my luck was in! The keen eyed and sad amongst you will spot the Keft that previously featured on Cigs (as it has Cigs named as an accomplice) but it was more in hope than expectation I turned up here. Unlike Hearts, it seems who didn't turn up later in the evening....
Fittingly enough a maroon outline to a green yellow infill. A colour clash and no mistake. Very eye catching, so it is, Especially with the lack of snow drops this quiet corner is crying out for.
Extra is a colour take on the sylvan scene.
