Another day of beatings for the girls at a kind of 5aside tournament at the Copper box. This is where their team ethos of inclusion and enjoyment let's them down. When they play teams that are highly selective and train to win at all cost they come a cropper.
I chatted with Alice and another girl about whether they feel despondent about the outcome of their games and they said no, they just love playing. It is difficult though when teams with male coaches (pretty much all the others) scream and shout and put the fear of God into their girls and our team don't foul and give encouragement to even the not that good girls.
