Effects

Explosions, pyrotechnics, sound effects, gunfights - it was all there at the show we enjoyed this afternoon. It was called The Hollywood Special Effects Show, and involved a team of three explaining and demonstrating the behind the scenes science and secrets of the blockbuster movies. The auditorium was full of children, some quite small, and I imagine a lot of the science went over their heads, but they all seemed to have a good time. Over all our heads at the end of the show was a paper shower fired from a cannon to the accompaniment of explosions, lights and leaping flames. George, I am sure, will watch blockbusters with a new knowledge of how it's done.
