St. Germain des Prés
This handsome church in the center of Paris was founded in the 6th century as the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The Abbey proper was destroyed over the centuries; only the church survives; it dates mainly from the 12th century. I was out with our old friend Gregory from London, who arrived at midday. Our afternoon walk took us to the Luxemburg Garden and to Saint Sulpice church. (It's late--I'll put in links tomorrow.)
