Shame about the weather

Today has been our most unpleasant site day of the year. Strong gales and torrential rain contributed to horrid driving conditions this morning, and it got worse the further north and west I went till upon arrival at Uig the very thought of stepping out of the car filled me with dread. My dread was fully justified. The burns rose throughout the day on the site and this dictated (upon the end of the shift) a full hour's detour scouting up the side of one burn to find a safe crossing point.
