A Little Colder Than Usual

After quite a fraught day in the house yesterday an outing was needed today.
We went over to Aqua Vale in Aylesbury at lunchtime for a few hours fun in the pools, the rapids, the bubble beds, the lazy river,  the slides and waterfalls.
As we paid to get in I saw a sign saying that due to problems with the boiler overnight the pools were a little colder than usual.
Colder than usual?????
If they'd been any colder we'd have had to chip the ice off to get in!
We lasted twenty minutes. I'd wanted to get out since we got in and Miss E had gone blue. 
Miss L is made of sterner stuff and had a few goes on the slide before getting into the shower with us.
The showers perversely were scaldingly hot. I had to make the Little Misses get out as they were turning into little lobsters!
So not the most successful outing ever.
I picked them up Happy Meals and hot chocolate on the way home and we had an afternoon watching David Attenborough and trashing the living room a little bit more!
