Oh the shame. I enjoyed my pot of tea for one and toasted teacake with jam at the Village Tea Rooms. I used their wifi and read the menu. Had a chat with some other punters, and then...

...walked out without paying. They chased out after me and politely asked if I had settled my bill. I thought I had paid when I first came in but I hadn't - I should have handed over the money on leaving. 

I was mortified. Mor-tiff-ide, I tell you. I stepped back in and forked out. Will I ever be able to show my face there again?
