The last time this was lit, my ancestor was at sea

Sailing up the channel with the Spanish Armada! he never got home again, being shipwrecked off Cape Wrath, and surprisingly ending up marrying into Clan Bell a hundred plus miles to the south.
He must have been an enterprising individual to not merely survive, but to travel all that way south, and then to marry into a band of cut throat Border Rievers  like the Bells!
There must be a story there!
