White horses

The Canary Islands are experiencing their first rainfall this winter as I write this journal. We went into the village earlier and I was literally blown off my feet, I was running involuntarily and was unable to stop as it was so windy. I took this photo earlier before the heavy rain started. The balcony is awash with running water but we are safe and dry indoors. They don't have gutters here so the rain just pours off the roof.
