Sugar Loaf Mountain from the Italian Side

This is the opposite side of the mountain (Pain de Sucre) to yesterday's photo (thanks for all the presents left for one of my favourite Alpine spots, by the way). We had to escape back through the Grand St. Bernard Tunnel this afternoon. There is some heavy snow forecast for the area and we did not want to get stuck despite the relaxing nature of SwissPiper's flat in Etroubles! We had managed quite a respectable cross country ski (for wrinklies) up the valley in the morning so it felt like we had been away for longer than one night.

A little bit of extra colour on this, it was too flat otherwise!
