Up the Potters!

I'm a big Herdwick Sheep fan, so really love the Herdy products. It was the usual Wednesday panic to find a blip in the last couple of hours before midnight, when I spied my new Herdy mug.

I was positioning it to give a more interesting angle, to take a photo of, when I noticed the backstamp on the bottom of the mug.

I'm even more pleased with Herdy, as I'm from the Potteries, so was rather chuffed it was made locally.

There's quite a local tradition of looking at the underside of pottery to see where it's made. In fact, a lecturer at Keele University, is doing some research on this. So I'm just off to completer her survey......
