Community garden

This is actually one of Mr Rat's photos (I did take one but it doesn't show as much).
This morning more than 50 fruit trees and bushes were delivered for the community garden in the church grounds. Yesterday we had a dozen or so holes were dug, today a small squad of volunteers dug the rest and did the planting. To begin with the ground was frozen but by the time we'd done the sun had melted the top layer into a nice sea of mud!
We will have to do some tidying up when it is a bit warmer and drier, and then sow the wild flower meadow.
