Father and daughters

Walking on the long path to the Lower Hide at Leighton Moss a father and his two daughters precede me. The reeds on either side hold many birds in the spring and summer but not in cold February - I heard a solitary ping from a bearded tit and a couple of ceti warblers in the distance, but saw nothing in this part of the reserve except water fowl.
