Pinkfoots heading north

I was trying to get an Aberdeenshire landscape when several skeins of Pink-footed Geese passed overhead. Since they really will be going north in a month or so, I grabbed an opportunistic photograph. I've been thinking of giving up wildlife photography except from a hide, They appear, I fumble with the camera, and get a really good photograph of them having disappeared! But occasionally… Mind you, shooting from the hip, the focus was guesswork and not spot on.
