Cut Off in its Prime

Three years ago in a hole caused by a fallen tree in the middle of the grass masquerading as a lawn in front of the Dower House, I stealthily planted some snow drop bulbs which I hoped would proliferate into a patch of flowers to welcome in February.

Instead, since then I get just three snowdrops appearing each year. No proliferation, only three brave little flowers which manage to withstand all the weather can throw at them. However one of their number has today succumbed to a trauma caused by exuberant crows or an animal loose in the grounds. I am nurturing it in an eggcup of water, but it can hardly be classed as a floral display.

I spent the morning in Glasgow meeting up with Gillipaw. We couldn't remember when we last got together, but it was a long time ago and we had much to catch up on.
It is friendships like this that make Blipfoto such a special site.
How appropriate and wonderful it is then to hear that the sale has gone through and we blippers are now shareholders in our own company. Woo Hoo!
