Silly Surfers

This morning whilst my mum was having her hair cut, I went out for a wander around Whitley Bay where my Nana used to live, the place has hardly changed!

I braved the freezing wind and headed down to the sea front, where these surfers eventually appeared. I stood and watched them edge into the water getting closer to the crazy waves.

As they approached the first wave they jumped with their boards, obviously with the aim of going over the top, but ended up being battered and smashed all the way back to the beach, after which they looked slightly sheepish and nervous about going back in for another try.
