Hectic is the word
I think I may be out of my hibernation: ever since I came back from New York, I've been, how to put it nicely... A savage, as in, staying in, alone, most of the time. It was mostly because I was tired, grieving, etc., but also because I felt in a kind of rut. It happens to me sometimes, this thing where the less I go out, the less likely I am of even thinking of going out. Anyways. I seem to be determined to brake the pattern this week: Sunday night, movie and dinner with my friend N, who lives in Pennsylvania but comes back to Montreal over summer.
Monday lunch with my friend J, afternoon and dinner with my friend C and her lovely family. Two days of nice conversations with people I love.
Tuesday, I stayed home, did the dishes, laundry, cooked, and managed to send resumes and set up one interview.
Wednesday, an interview, though it turns out it wasn't for a precise job, but for an agency. I was told I'm overqualified but they seemed determined to find me something. Oh, and I also discovered just how badly I manage on a PC (or how much better I do on a Mac). Then, I had quiz night with friends, where we finished 19th out of 20. We would have done better if the music category hadn't been all about rock, punk and other musics like that. Sorry, can't help you. Fun night though!
When it comes to today's picture, I had a few ideas: either a red square well hidden under a dress (or how to stay revolutionary even in a formal, business setting, by reactualizing the quote "cachez ce sein que je ne saurais voir"), the gorgeous sunset I caught when I arrived to the bar, the bar itself or its patrons, the sheet of items to identify in the first part of the quiz, or my friend B pouting after receiving our final score. But I chose this cyclist: on his helmet, 9/11, nine eleven. What the attacks have to do with cycling, I don't know (maybe all these bike messengers who were at the towers?), but i hadn't seen this before, so I was very intrigued
