Looking For A Piece Of Heaven

I love Botanic Gardens and I have many happy memories of spending time in the Garden in Edinburgh. 

I thought it might help to keep me centred before going to Shiv's funeral.

There is a bench in the Gardens with a little plaque on it that reads "A little piece of Heaven".  It felt right to have a seat and a think.

I got to the crematorium in plenty of time but I didn't recognise anyone in the very large crowd, so I went for a little walk.  When I got back everyone was inside and there was no room left in the chapel at all.  I had to stand right at the back with about 50 other people.

Highlight of the service for me was the poem that (I think) was read by her sister.

I managed to have a few words with Mr S after the service and I hope he understood that I wasn't just there for me but for a lot of other Blippers as well.  I think I may have been babbling.

I would have given anything to have met him under any other circumstances.
