End of an Era

A very good friend of mine has, due to a combination of age and health, had to make a very difficult decision. He's been a farmer all his life, and his particular expertise was with beef cattle.  He has had to sell his herd, and these are the remaining few who will be away this week-end.  He was very subdued when I called this morning.
