A foody day at The Kinloch Lodge

on the Isle of Skye.

The day started with breakfast at the lodge with a choice of the full works if you could cope or egg florentine in my case and everything else inbetween. Breakfast was followed by a few hours in the kitchen for a workshop with the Michelin Star chef Marcello. It was wonderful, we did some hands on work but the clock was against us, the food preparation was for the lunch time service with much to do and Taste. After breakfast and all that tasting what better than lunch.......Hors d'oeuvres, soup, starter, main, a delightful sweet, coffee and fudge. We all collapsed although not before a walk in the freezing cold wind and rain for a few minutes to give our hosts dogs a run. Skye is spectacular but it was good to arrive back to the house. A great experience.
