Frosted redcurrant
A chill bright morning and a glorious day. After a couple of hours work we went for a short meeting with a young architect who is drawing us up a plan for a garden room extension. We have been talking and thinking about this for a while so it is exciting to be actually getting on with it. Lots of ideas and reflections were shared and now the initial plan will go forward into a second draft.
Meanwhile we have been planning our summer holiday. We have been going round in circles for a few days thinking about different places...the south of Spain, Portugal, Corsica...but finally settled on the Azores. Given that there are also seven islands in the Azores archipelago and we can't see them all, we have been reading up on the nature of each.
It is a pleasant distraction to be thinking about mild and balmy climates and lush vegetation when the weather is rather chill and the early blossoms of the redcurrant are having to contend with heavy frost...
