Godstone for lunch.......

I LOVE this village! It was the venue for so many happy field trips for years and I almost know it inside out now; Bay Pond, St Nicholas's Church with the pirate headstone in the churchyard, the Alms Houses, the Village Green and pond, the middle school, the monkey tree, The Old Forge....GREAT memories!

This photo is the village pond. I met my friend Gail for lunch in a lovely restaurant nearby today . Always plenty to talk about...and listen to of course. We had inter-connecting classrooms for two years and laughed so much together just by poking our heads round the door for no reason at all! Well, I did.  She claimed I was a bad influence on her....!
