Mt Taranaki

We are now in New Plymouth....yes we do get around.
A five hour road trip to get here, a road we have never travelled and found it very enjoyable.  Stopped for an hour or so at Wanganui for lunch and a walk along the river for a bit.  It was really hot, but as we travelled further north/west the cloud thickened but still warm.  

Sat and watched the cricket for a while then went for a wee drive to familiarise ourselves and find the supermarket to get some supplies in.  

As we drove back to our motel noticed the clouds had cleared and there was the mighty mountain - amazing.  This blip taken from our motel, tomorrow we will investigate the lower reaches of the mountain, hopefully walk some of the trails.  

I'm still buzzing from the Tattoo last night - an evening not to be forgotten.
