Space Age Sydney

I went into town in the early evening to grab some shots of the colour run.
Then it rained and I decided to give it a miss, as I hadn't even brought a brolly.

This is the CTA (Commercial Travellers' Association) building, designed in the seventies by Harry Seidler.
It's part of the MLC precinct.
Inside is a series of tiny bedrooms designed for commercial travellers passing through Sydney.
It's worth looking at the extra, where you can see the whole building and the slits in the drum, which are the bedroom windows.

Demolished to build the MLC Centre were Hotel Australia, Theatre Royal, Rowe Street and the previous CTA building, a tall, sandstone building on the corner of Martin Place.

Boo hoo!!
